Formed when the acquisition of Gryphon Holdings added Associated International to the Essex family. This division concentrates on writing primary DIC business in the 14 western states of the United States.

The primary DIC business underwritten by the Division tends to be smaller commercial accounts, where we can offer limits up to $5,000,000. 

Addtionally, the Division now underwrites the core products of ESP including Excess DIC, Excess All Risk, Buffers, Participating Excess, and Deductible Buy-Backs.

Non admitted paper is the preferred choice for all types and classes of business however, the Associated IIC is still available for admitted DIC that qualifies based on Age, Construction and Soil Type criteria.
